Lux Bathroom Renovations: Filming a Perth Renovation Project

Buffalo Film Studios worked with Lux Bathroom Renovations in Perth to produce a promotional video combining showroom footage with a renovation time-lapse. The project brought together the business's presentation of its work and a view of the renovation process.
Planning the project
The brief was developed through discussions with Luke and Sally Hill of Lux Bathroom Renovations. The aim was to give prospective customers context for the business and show the work involved in a bathroom renovation.
Filming in the showroom and on site
Filming included two appointments at the showroom and several visits to a renovation project. Showroom footage provided a setting for the business, while the site visits recorded stages of the transformation for the time-lapse sequence.
Bringing these settings together allowed the finished video to show both the presentation of the business and work taking place on a project. The time-lapse condensed a longer process into a sequence viewers could follow.
The finished promotional video
Watch the Lux Bathroom Renovations video below to see how the showroom and renovation footage were combined. It is presented as an example of our production work, rather than a claim about sales or enquiry results.
Planning a video for your own project
For a renovation or other project that develops over time, discuss filming before work begins. Agree which stages matter, when access is available and who can approve filming. Allow for site conditions and changes to the work schedule. A time-lapse is one part of the story, so consider what explanation or supporting footage will help viewers understand what they see.
